Angle and Turn Senser: Foundations

Infants are sensitive to angles-as-turning, both turning objects and their own body. See more at the first three levels of the Spatial Orientation and the first level of Spatial Visualization.

  • toddler turns their car at an angle that will make the car drive toward a pretend garage. 
  • When noticing mom or dad has arrived for pickup, a child on the playground changes direction in order to go to their parent. 

Help your student become a(n) Angle and Turn Senser: Foundations

Free movement of their bodies and manipulation of a wide variety of objects in rich environments provide the strongest experience foundation for understanding angles and turns.
