Serial Orderer to 6+ (Comparing Number)

Sub Trajectory: comparing/ordering

Orders quantities (dots) or numerals to 6 and beyond. Similarly orders lengths marked into units. A significance advance is the ability to correctly determine whether numerals that are not in count-list order (e.g., some are skipped) are in order (e.g., 5, 7, 9) or not (7, 5).

Help your student become a(n) Serial Orderer to 6+ (Comparing Number)

Activities help children place sets of 1 to 6 or more or lengths (such as made from connecting cubes) in order, by helping child count and find the next number, or carefully compare each one to be inserted to make sure it is more than all those on one side and fewer/less than all those on the other side.
